Special Acknowledgement

We would be remiss if we do not acknowledge our Patron of blessed memory, Hon. Fred Ohene-Kena (1936—2019), whose advise to his daughter (our Founder) about becoming a consultant in the future led to the birth of Brighter Purpose Group over twenty years later.

Mr. Ohene-Kena was a pan-Africanist who was passionate about national development.  His dedication to excellence, hard work, integrity and living a life of service to others are values he successfully instilled in our Founder.  Brighter Purpose is a success story because of our commitment to these priceless values.

During his lifetime, Mr. Ohene-Kena served his native Ghana in the capacity of Minister for Mines & Energy, Minister for Lands & Natural Resources, Eastern Regional Minister and Ambassador to the Czech Republic with oversight of Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. He also served on and chaired multiple boards including AngloGold, Ghana Bauxite, Ghana Chamber of Mines and his brainchild, the Minerals Commission. He was a professional Mining Engineer with a BSc from Cambourne School of Mines in Cornwall UK, and an MSc in Mining Engineering from the Imperial College of London.

His many years of guidance, sound advice, wise counsel, and overall support is the reason why Brighter Purpose Group exists today.

He shall forever remain in our hearts!
